What is the Pure Markt?

Pure Markt is a travelling Sunday market that sets up in the green, car-free parks of Amsterdam. Around a hundred small producers sell what they make themselves: sourdough bread, farmhouse cheese, smoked fish, natural wine, ceramics, jewellery and vintage finds. There is live music, plenty of street food and no admission charge — a relaxed local Sunday rather than a tourist attraction.

The following edition is on Sunday 27 September 2026 in Park Frankendael, after which the market moves to a monthly winter rhythm.

Practical information

Entry is free and the market goes ahead in all weather. Amstelpark is reached by tram 25 or metro 51 to Amsterdam RAI and a short walk; the Amsterdamse Bos is served by bus 357, and Park Frankendael by tram 19. Come hungry, bring a bag and a debit card — most makers accept contactless, though a little cash never hurts.
