IJ-Hallen Flea Market – NDSM Amsterdam
What is the IJ-Hallen flea market?
IJ-Hallen in Amsterdam Noord is the largest flea market in Europe. Inside two vast former shipyard warehouses on the NDSM wharf you will find hundreds of stalls filled with vintage clothing, furniture, records, books, bicycle parts, art and pure bric-a-brac. Locals come here to hunt for bargains, and the atmosphere is far more Amsterdam than any souvenir shop in the centre.
Programme and next editions
The market runs over a full weekend, roughly once a month.
- 19 and 20 September 2026 — 09:00 to 16:30, around 600 stalls, held indoors.
- 10 and 11 October 2026 — 09:00 to 16:30, around 600 stalls, held indoors.
Later 2026 editions are planned for 31 October and 1 November, and for 12 and 13 December.
Practical information
Address: TT Neveritaweg 15, NDSM wharf, Amsterdam Noord. Entrance is a few euros and children go free. The easiest way to arrive is the free GVB ferry from behind Amsterdam Central Station to NDSM, a fifteen-minute ride across the IJ that is a small sightseeing trip in itself. Bring cash, as not every stallholder accepts cards, and bring a sturdy bag.
