For over 40 years, Roots has been the meeting point of musical traditions – from West African desert blues and Balkan brass to Latin, Caribbean and Middle Eastern sounds. The festival finale, Roots Open Air, turns the Oosterpark into a free one-day world stage with tens of thousands of visitors, food from every kitchen and one of the most diverse crowds in the city.
