Open Garden Days Amsterdam

A tradition in the third weekend of June: the Open Garden Days Amsterdam! With this year’s theme new and old in the canal gardens, visitors will have the opportunity on 14, 15 and 16 June 2024 to visit a variety of canal gardens – also called the city’s best kept secret, because they are not visible from the streets.
Every owner of a canal garden has a relationship with the past. You’re surrounded by history: by the buildings, the trees, the coach houses, the pavilions and the sheds. What choices do you make while designing or conserving a garden? What do you maintain, what do you add? As a visitor of those canal gardens you will encounter gardens that seem centuries old, but are in fact quite new, or you will encounter gardens that seem new, but actually work with very old style elements and techniques. This tension, between new and old, is the central theme of this year’s Open Garden Days.
Opening hours
This year’s Open Garden Days will be held on Friday 14 to Sunday 16 June. The opening hours are as follows:

Tickets
Tickets for the Open Garden Days 2024 can be ordered through the online presale in the webshop of Museum Van Loon until June 13 for €20,- (excl. service charges).
During the Open Garden Days tickets are available at one of the starting addresses at the door or via the Museum Van Loon webshop for €22,50 (excl. service charges).
