Keukenhof 2027 (region)
March 18, 2027 @ 8:00 am – May 9, 2027 @ 7:30 pm

Keukenhof is the most famous flower garden in the world. For eight weeks in spring – roughly mid-March to mid-May 2027 – seven million tulips, daffodils and hyacinths bloom in a 32-hectare park in Lisse, half an hour from Amsterdam. Exact dates to be confirmed.
The world’s spring garden
Keukenhof is planted anew every autumn by hand, bulb by bulb, resulting in immaculate show gardens, flower pavilions with orchids and lilies, and the iconic windmill overlooking the tulip fields. Around the park, the Bollenstreek (bulb region) turns into a patchwork of coloured stripes – best explored by bike or from the viewing points along the fields.
Planning your visit from Amsterdam
- Getting there: direct buses run from Schiphol and Amsterdam; the trip takes 35-60 minutes
- Timing: mid-April is peak tulip bloom – and peak crowds. Weekday mornings are calmest
- Tickets: timed-entry tickets must be booked online in advance – they sell out on spring weekends
- Combine: rent a bike at the park and cycle the surrounding tulip fields
Tulips in the city too
No time for a day trip? April is tulip month in Amsterdam itself: Tulip Festival Amsterdam fills the city with hundreds of thousands of tulips in parks, museums and along the canals – perfectly combined with a springtime canal cruise.
