What is Mysteryland?
Mysteryland is the oldest dance festival in the world still running, and after a break in 2026 it returns in 2027 with an entirely new concept. Held at the former Floriade grounds in Haarlemmermeer, just outside Amsterdam, it turns a stretch of Dutch polder into a weekend-long world of stages, art installations, sculpture and camping. Expect house, techno, hardstyle and everything in between across dozens of stages, with production that is closer to theatre than to a field with speakers.
Programme
- Three days of music across a large number of stages, from mainstage spectacle to intimate forest floors.
- A camping village that opens the day before the first stage does, with its own programme, food market and morning yoga.
- Large-scale art, light installations and theatre spread across the site — one of the things that sets Mysteryland apart from other Dutch festivals.
The 2027 edition is expected over the weekend of 20 to 22 August 2027; the exact dates are still to be confirmed by the organisers.
Practical information
Location: the former Floriade site in Haarlemmermeer, roughly 20 kilometres from the centre of Amsterdam. Shuttle buses run from Amsterdam and from Schiphol and Hoofddorp stations during the festival. Tickets sell out well in advance and are released in phases; day tickets, weekend tickets and camping tickets are sold separately. This is a 18+ event and ID is checked at the gate.
