Experience tulips in Amsterdam
In the center of Amsterdam, of course, you won’t see tulip fields. However, you can enjoy tulips in tubs and parks in April. Visit the tulip fields nearby Amsterdam
Although the tulips in Amsterdam are already colorful you experience the real tulip season especially in the Bollenstreek (flower region) about 40 kilometers from the center. There you will enjoy lots of colorful flower fields with daffodils, hyacinths and tulips. The fields are used for growing flower bulbs.
Visit a tulip farm and show gardens
Besides the production fields there are also many tulip farms and show gardens. The world-famous Keukenhof tulip park is also located in the Bollenstreek. Keukenhof is an important hub to get to the tulips from Amsterdam. From Amsterdam, special public transportation buses go directly to Keukenhof and the tulip fields.
