Canal Parade Amsterdam Pride

Every year in August, the Canal Parade Amsterdam Pride is held on the Canals of Amsterdam. This colourful parade will be held for the 28th time in 2024 and was formerly known as the Gay Parade. Nowadays, the Canal Parade is a colourful party where everyone can be themselves and the event is one of the biggest events on the Amsterdam canals.

About the Amsterdam Canal Parade

The world-famous Canal Parade through the canals of Amsterdam is one of the highlights of Pride Amsterdam. The parade consists of around eighty boats representing everything from small LGBTQI+ foundations to pink networks within multinational companies. They all sail through the city canals to celebrate the past, present and future of the LGBTQI+ community in lavishly decorated boats and sloops. And to show that it doesn’t matter who or what you are.

Price Canal Parade ticket

The Canal Parade can be watched free of charge from the canals. If you want to come to the Canal Parade by boat to spend some time with your family or friends, you can do so with a boat up to 10 metres long. For this you will need a Pride Vignette. These will be for sale from 1 July 2024 onwards from the Canal Parade organisation.
